Silkroad travels: Pamir
The cimetery of Kara kul kishlak. The inhabitants of the village are mainly Kyrgyz, the burial rites are Islamic and adapted to Kyrgyz way of life. Surprisingly the tradititions were preserved during the long Russian occupation. |

This photo is a very relevant image of the "lost heart of Asia". I like the atmosphere of this photo a lot.

Hallo Dietrich,
toll, am kleinen Bild dachte ich, das ist die Ruine einer riesengroßen Karawanserai.. rein in den Friedhof konntest Du wahrscheinlich nicht, um das Bild ohne Maschendrahtzaun zu bekommen. Macht nichts.
