Photographer's Note
Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok is the home of the Emerald Buddha and revered as the most sacred temple in Thailand. It's a complex of more than 100 buildings on the grounds of the grand palace. The photo today is a section of the golden chedi - one of the many spectacular buildings within the temple. The creatures "holding up" the structure are Yakshas - mythical demon gods converted by the teachings of Buddha.
