About the temple
Popularly known as the Marble Temple, Wat Benchamabopit was built toward the end of Kind Rama V's reign and displays an eclectic blend of cultural influences. The walls are covered with marble brought from Varrara, Italy, while the roof tiles are Chinese. The bot has stained-glasses windows as well as massive marble Khmer style singha(guardian lions), flanking the doors.

About the shot
I was there a bit early in the morning as this temple is always seen crowded with visitors and tourist. In this spot i stood up a couple of minutes waiting for some tourist to pass by and take a shot as i was aiming to convey a sense of scale of the temple.

The result of the wait was beyond what i was expecting, a monk from the courtyard stood up in front of the temple, pause for a while as if he's waiting for me to take the shot then exit towards the left of the temple.

If you are astonished by the beauty of this temple from the outside, my journey inside the temple's courtyard was breathtaking, a place worth a visit.

Hello Albert,

you have done well to go early in the morning, because the morning and side light , values the structure of magnificent temple, and at the same time give some relief to the image.
Framing is being treated, but I just fit a little more shake, to eliminate the two poles, both sides of the temple, which spots lighting of the temple.

Good achievement.
Sincerely, Dino.

Hi Albert,
The centered and symmetrical setting has worked here well, this magnificent architecture deserves it. I think that you have done a great work with the exposure, and the aesthetic and chromatic result is excellent.
The sky is very well polarized.

Hi Albert,
Nice frontal POv and good symmetry here. The light was good (i see it is not raining there!) and it gave fine colors. Sharp and clear, I only may have cropped the lamp posts on the sides...
Greetings
Laurent

Well I don't know if my critique will help you much since I totally agree on how you captured this. Here is why.

Hi Albert,
A very elegant architecture, with natural colours but still a superb gold tone on the top of the temple. I like it a lot.
