Long Tail Speed
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
| One of many "Long Tail" boats in the river through Bangkok, capital of Thailand. The motor is said to be a car engine, adapted to push these narrow boats along the river and Klongs (canal) at high speeds. It is likely a very skilled job to avoid hitting other boats and the banks at speed. |

Looks like a kind public transport which can be taken by anyone in Bangkok. True? Is it a good way to go around and is it pricy?
Nice action picture with a good water splash and excellent colours.

Hi Murray,
A good capture of the long tail boat which is moving on the river. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the boat. There is a good contrast betweenthe colors of the trees and the colors of the boat. Have a nice day.

Hi Murray
Hope you're keeping cool. 36c in Daegu for 4 days in a row, & as humid as Bangkok. I like the motion blur of the longtail's wake, contrasting with the sharpness in the rest of the image. Tfs!

Hi Murray,
this is a good moment in photography for this boat.
Well done, there is a very good description of the propeller.

Hello Murray,
Roger Moore played in a James Bond film, "Man With a Golden Gun," and that's where I first saw these long tail boats. The photograph is very good, and your note helps out. It makes sense that they use automobile engines to get that sort of power.
Warm regards,
Bulent
