***Fruits versus fishs***, a photo from Ratchaburi, Centre

Hi,
After a shot of floating alms yesterday, today a shot from the floating market. In this place, sellers are on hers boats and change products against others products or sell fruits for tourists. Too many turists on this place!
If you want visit this place, sleep on this town (not on a boat...) and wake up very early for visiting before of groups comes from Bangkok.

Hi Sebastien, I like this shot where the fish vendor encounters the fruit vendor. It breaths the atmosphere of a floating market and the shot is very colourful. Perhaps a pity of the harsh light, but still very interesting shot! Sabine

That's a very good advice. I did a tour and hadn't the chance for doing that...
Good capture and very nice composition of these two sellers, with all the colourful food and delicious look fruit in foreground. May be a little overexposed in foreground, but not too bad. Well done!

splebdide cette image avec un titre amusant. C'est vrai que le cadrage et le point de vue est parfait pour cette idée de confronter les marchandises. Et en plus les braves dames ont le sourire.

Très chouette cette approche originale d'une vue pourtant assez classique de la Thaïlande avec ses marchés flottants.Le bri de "causette" et le sourire(quelque peu édenté) de cette Thaï.

c'est une image d'actualité avec le réunion mondiale du commerce qui se déroule en ce moment à Hong-Kong. Quoi de plus simple comme échange commerciale ;o), un bon pied de nez.

J'aime particulièrment cette scène tout dans la diagonale, des couleurs, de la vie. Bravo!

The fish-woman talking to the fruit-woman....ha ha ha ha - that's great :) A really nice and clear shot and a good view of the fruit and fish. Maybe you should have cropped the yellow flowers on the top?

A more classical scene than yesterday. It seems tou exposure has been fooled by the shadows in the boats and the dark water, it has overexposed the whole scene by at least one stop, burning most of the brighter parts.

In such contrasted scenes, mostly including water reflections, I recommend using manual exposure because you might unfortunatley center your meter, on either a dark or too bright part. Then set it once, aiming it to a flesh part of some of your characters for example and don't change unless you're going from to sunlight to shadows or reversely.

too bad i did not get to see the floating markets but you captured it well, i can only imagine from your photo the vast fleet of boats selling their wares,fruits, veggies, poultry, fish and some knick knacks, beautiful composition, i can see clearly what they are selling.

Malgré une tendance à la suexposition en particulier des blancs pau péchus en détails, celà reste une superbe image des marchés flottants. Ce qui estsuper c'est l'exposition des visages à l'ombre des chapeaux. Donc Chapeua !

Very nice, Sebastien, I like how the women are obviously looking at each other and interacting, not just passing. A lot of interesting things here, especially those conical coconuts. All the repeated shapes give a nice rhythm. Regards, Ken.

C'est bien vu et etres bien cadre cette scene, j'aime bien le contraste des produits et la volonte d'echange qu'on lit dans le sourire de la dame. Par contre la dure luminosite de la Thailande a frappe, j'ai essaye un petit WS pour attenuer, mais pas evident a recuperer ces surex.
