Photographer's Note
This picture was taken in Ayutthaya Historical Park, Thailand.
Ayutthaya Historical Park is the ruins of the former capital of the Kingdom of Siam (1350). It is the site of mass murder, rape and enslavement of Siamese people and destruction of the Ayutthaya city, its art and buildings by the Burmese in 1767. Ayutthaya Historical Park is the most important tourist site for Thailand tourism outside Bangkok in Central Thailand. It is just an hour drive north from Bangkok.

Hello Irina,
It's surprising that 87 viewers have visited this lovely image, and not one before me has critiqued it. In a timeless land, there are clearly so many extraordinary sites to see, and I did not know about the Ayutthaya Historical Park. I might have just been able to see this place, both beautiful and sad. Last summer I was suppose to attend a meeting in Bangkok, and had set a couple days aside to explore within an hour's distance. Because of the unrest in the capitol, the meeting was switched to Phuket. The latter, turned out to be 'a suburb of paradise.'
Warm regards,
Bulent
