The Many "Faces" of Smile Photo

H'mong Village
Nan, Thailand

These three H'mong girls are happily following me and touching my camera as I went around. They laughed, they giggled, they smiled. These, alone, are forms of socializing for them.

For these children, life revolves around play and games.They play simple games and they enjoy each other's company. They laughed together, cry together and shout at each other at times but when tomorrow comes, they are seeking each other's company, ready to play the same games that they did the day before.

These girls were certainly enjoying each other's company. This photo is actually a community spirit because while I was doing this, the older kids and some parents were all around us telling my subjects to smile, to look at me, to show their teeth, etc. I was, once again, in touch with my youth. Sheer innocence and joy.

Its those the kind of natural smiles only small kids can give. Very fine capture - I like the soft light coming from the side - gives a fine effect. Very good work Manuel.

Great models for showing the true and simple joy of laughing Manny! :-) Their whole faces are full of that sweet and pure laughter... The coloured composition with the T-shirts also is great: the two girls in one coloured ones, and the one in the center - in a multi-coloured.. I love it!

You just brightened up my lunch break, Manny. They are so wonderfully joyful, and I adore how each of them finds a different facial expression displaying that joy. I also like how they "stick together" and form a joyful bundle. Just great, thanks so much for sharing this moment.

A great shot Manuel, from the 'land of smiles'. I like they way they all have different expressions and how the girl on the right is obviously looking at her parents. Good colours on a lighter background. Well done.
