One of the buildings - part of the The Royal Palace complex on the territory of Bang Pa-In Island in the Chao Phraya River.
Bang Pa In is sutuated in Ayutthaya province 60 kilometers (40 miles) north of Bangkok. The palace itself dates back to the 17th century, pre-dating the establishment of Bangkok as the capital.
Today, the palace is only used infrequently, and then mostly for state occasions rather than as a royal summer residence.

The photo was taken with a Samsung film camera and scanned from a Kodak negative film. I thought long whether to post it here, among a huge amount of digital photos. Anyway I thought the image may be of interest for those who would like to get to know Thailand :) |

Hi Elena,
This is a beautiful place and i've been here twice and have taken some photos. in fact i have a shot of this tower in my gallery. Nice shot and congrats to your composition.
Greetings from Thailand
Hello Elena,
My first thought was: Where in Stockholm is this? ;-)
It's an interesting building, rather strange, looking like a cross between a pagoda and a lighthouse.
Considering the technicalities it's a very good copy. I find some noise in the sky and a couple of dirty spots. Oh, how I have struggled lately to learn how to clean noise and to observe every little spot. And to clean the skies without blurring everything else, and to have the sky look natural after cleaning. It's a very tricky and time-consuming business.
Best wishes,
Gert
Helena,
Nice place I went last summer!
I appreciate the composition of your picture, particularly with the reflecting part of the tower
in the water.
Bravo
Bernard
Hallo Elena!
Nice Places, nice shot, gratuliere!
Best wishes,
