Photographer’s Note

This magnificent mosque, of which this is the courtyard, stands in Ashgabat, the capital city od Turkmenistan. Unfortunately, during it's construction 2 workers were accidentally killed. I was told that because of this the mosque cannot be used as a place of worship, so it is used only as a sort of community centre.

This is a scan of the original photo, taken with a simple fixed-focus camera and has come out rather grainy. I tried using NeatImage, but lost too much detail.
