Travels on the Silk Road:
Because of the current events in Turkmenistan I put some pictures of this country on TE.
The markets in Turkmenistan are very attractive. Not only fruits, food, colours and odours are varied but women wear flowery dresses and are smiling at you . The delicious flat bread is called "chorek". The market holds excellent vegetarian dishes ready for you, like "kutab" with spinach or plov with dried fruit.

The Silk Road still exists: Turkmenistan trader women travel to China to buy cheap goods there. They offer them on Turkmenistan markets. These are visited by the bus loads from Iran and Uzbekistan. In the end you will find the same ventilators or pullovers "Made in China" again on the market in Mashad, al little more expensive though.
