Photographer’s Note
The statue of Xo'ja Nasriddin Afandi is located at Bukhara near the Lyabi Hauz pond.
Xo'ja Nasriddin Afandi is a man about whom are told many stories in the orient. Several countries claim that he had lived there. But the humorous anecdotes told about him are really international.
For example:
Afandi was once boasting about his ageless strength.
"I am as strong as I was when I was a young man." "How can that be?" asked people.
"There is a big rock outside my house. I couldn't move it then and I can't move it now!" said Afandi.

Merhaba Roland. Good old Hoja- so much fun and so much wisdom. You laugh at his stories, then you look more deeply at the meaning. great to see that the little ones love him, a sign that his exploits will last for generations to come.Regards. Klaudio.
