Photographer’s Note
Chorsu Bazaar, on the outskirts of Tashkent, is one of the largest markets in Central Asia. (The Tolkucha market, outside Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, is probably the largest.) Much of the market is under the seven domes, but it spills out into the open air. We were wandering around when I spotted this woman selling raisins. I have no idea what the story is about the girl next to her, but there has to be one.
Technical: Cropping, levels and curves.

Very interesting to study the raisin seller and her interaction with the person trying a raisin. I am distracted by the woman in the lower left, however, and would like to see a closer crop to focus on your main subject and the hand of her buyer.

Hi Dan,
GREAT framing with the intensely focused seller, the raisins and only the hand of the buyer makes a great composition. i might have gone for more of a pano crop to remove the woman in the lower left corner but without scrolling the compo is perfect.
I have a collection of markets and I've added your work. If it's a problem, I'll remove it.

Hello Daniel,
Your timing is excellent while buyer checking a single seed of dried raisin. I liked relation build by their body languages between seller and buyer there. Rich surround is also interesting with naturally dried apricots and walnuts. Great works, congratulations. Have a nice Sunday.
Friendly Regards,

hi Dan
There are not many posts of Uzbek and I really appreciate this post of showing the market place where activity and trade is almost the same worldwide in that people are basically farmers and struggling to make a living.
But it is the tradition and dress style of the people that really makes out each post from one another to make it more interesting. For example, in your shot, it is the headwear, the textile material, the face feature, the kind of goods/produce sold which make all so much more interesting.
A fine TE post.
