This is so beautiful and so characteristic for south east Asia! It reminds me of the film "Rambo". I love the composition and the lush vegetation on the shore! Very good and natural colors! Great job! Thank you for sharing!

Hi Jorge,
In two weeks i will be there myself, seeing this with my own eyes and trying to make such a wonderful photo as you present us here. The dark green palmtrees, the houses in the back but most of all the two people in the boat...wonderful, i like it a lot. Seems scanning is getting betetr and betetr, your last scans are very good.

I can feel the tropical cool atmosphere by just looking at the photo ... well captured. I like the way you captured the boat people as it just enters the frame. The running river flow also created a very good dynamics. Pretty good quality for a scanned image. Well composed .... excellent work! tfs

Hello Jorge,
Excellent film to digital conversion. This is an excellent image and as usual your composition is well planned and controlled. I like the way that the diagonal created by the river and the tree sloping toward the river create a nice "V" angle. A straighter river and completely 90 degree vertical trees would have been too static. I am sure that your original looks quite stunning! Eventually with the bigger and faster servers we can enlarge our photos to at least 300K and what an improvement that would be.

that's a truly beautiful picture very well composed. I really like the 2 people on the boat leading the eye to discover the rest of the compo with the beautiful palms and houses in the bg. Quality is excellent, colours are wonderful as well as the details you managed to deliver.

Hola Jorge,
The adjective "timeless" came to my mind before I noticed the title. It's a beautiful place and the image features an atmosphere of contagious tranquillity. I have never been to Viet Nam, but every time I see wonderful images like this one I think that they just don't combine with the horrific war that took place there.
Despite the sharpness not being perfect and the white sky, I find it an accomplished scan, specially if I remember my struggles trying to process my own film photos. I bet that the original is absolutely gorgeous.

Hi Jorge, this is a great perspective of the river, allowing the viewer to take in a lot of interesting detail - the boat, the houses, vegetation, etc. One gets a good "feel" for the place. Your good POV is the secret here. Next year I'll be living close to the Irrawaddy, another great Asian river, and that's one of the reasons I enjoyed this shot.

This is a lovely photo Jorge. While I have seen many photos from the Mekong, there is something special about this one. I love the boat with the two traditionally dressed locals paddling, and then including the houses in the back.

You have a huge photographic archive from the whole world, and beside that, you have unique captures, like this one here taken in 1997.
Splendid POV, everything is in place!
Are you working to National Geographic or another big photographic magazine? You have traveled the whole world, and I don't think its just for fun!
