Photographer’s Note
The King Tran Nhan Tong (1258-1308) are considered as the most famous in Vietnamese history. He was the perfect King in politic, military affair and literature. This shot is the Temple for His Anniversary of the 750 year of his birth day (1258-2008) and the 700 year of his dead day (1308-2008). This is Temple is located at An Tay Ward, Hue city with the construction of couple of built dragon that considered as the longest in Vietnam with 105m length.

Great photo. It really shows the significance of the 120 stairs you must climb to visit the palace. I love Hue and all of it's history. It is too bad we Americans used the harmless, but culturally significant Citadel for bombing practice. I wonder how Americans would feel if others used the Washington and Lincoln Monuments to dump their bombs?? The Americans destroyed hundreds of years of history, on par to wrecking the Imperial City in China. However, the Vietnamese are a forgiving people, unlike we Americans. They look to the future, not back at the atrocities from the "American War".
