Photographer’s Note
Hội An is certainly THE turistic place in Vietnam. Food is excellent, ladies can have clothes made for them (of course men too...but do you think are the main customers), architecture is beautiful, the market is full of life (and of smells), you feel perfectly safe, you can get cooking classes, etc... It's really a beautiful place. A fun place.
Here, we can see a woman, in her handmade traditional vietnamese boat, with her traditional vietnamese hat, fishing/picking up snails on the banks of the Thu Bon river. In the background, you can see boats, traditional houses and under those big trees start the market I told you about!
have a good weekend!
Marc

HGi Marc!
What a great POV.I`m missing a bit sharpness in the background but I like the composition with the traditional boat and this woman`s pose in the foreground.Colors and contrast are great.

hi Marc
I find this is very interesting angle to shoot from above and using a vertical format to frame a great composition. I am surprised your 18mm [x1.5crop] can get such a good coverage of the scene to show the detail of the boats and environment.
Of course I like the woman picking shells off the wall, an act that is seldom found on a photograph. Good moment of click!

Hello Marc!
Yes, Hoi An was one of my favourite places whilst in Vietnam. Here you had a great point of view (looks like you were really leaning over the edge) to be able to get this lady as she is busy with her task, and of course it is perefect that she has her conicle hat on to get that real Vietnamese feeling too. I like that her little boat is exactly on the end of the reflections of the larger boats and facing in the opposite direction creating an interesting composition. A nice image that brings back good memories for me.
Best Regards

Bonjour Marc,
Très belle présentation de cette photo en plongée,
Superbes couleurs naturelles et profondeur de champ,
J'aime bien les réflections dans l'eau qui semble très polluée par sa couleur, tous mes compliments,
Mes salutations

Hi Marc, another good one! You did really well here with the light. I like the vertical cut and the colours here are superbly rendered and the image razor-sharp. Great job, Lisa

Hi Marc!
That's a familiar place! When I was there in November, the weather was much worse than this!I like the composition with the boats in background and the woman on the little boat. Well framed, with perfect light and colours!

Hello Marc..the compostion is surely filling the canvas..very sharp wirh a good saturation of colours...just one mention..the big boats look too centrally placed..makes the compostion loose its dynamism provided by the activity on the little one below it...
maybe you could choose a diff pov to eliminate the static feel
Cheers

The chromatic contrast between the water and the boats is fantastic and worth the photo by itself! moreover the composition is so interesting with the two boats together and the small one with the lady.
Really a good capture.

Donato
