Photographer’s Note

Phan Rang, about 150 km way up north of Phan Thiet, is the homeland of Cham people believing in Lord Shiva of Hinduism, one of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. Women of Cham people wear their own traditional cloths instead of 'Aozai' on festival days that are very clolorful and bright, are very well harmonized with the sand dune.
There are some Hindu relics nearby, like the one in Da Nang and Mi Son of Central Vietnam.

Hi,
the colorful dresses are a treat for the eye among all that sand! I think I would go for a tighter crop though here. They seem a bit lost in the frame and deserve more impact IMHO. Still, interesting shot.

Hello JS! This is a WONDERFUL shot, almost tender despite the harsh environment. Amazing with how much style and grace these women walk through the sand. You have placed them well in my eyes. Philippe might have his points but it deserves more than his one point. Sometimes this is a frustrating process here on TE although I guess he meant it well. Very nice work, it touches me and I guess this is a good sign, isn't it. Best regards, Barbara.

Tres joli e tres efficace.On dirait des miniatures.On peut trouver le cliché un peu lointain, mais bon...
Les couleurs sont bonnes et une netteté extra.

great photo, I agree they are placed well, the women give grace and fun to the photo, if they were close or more in the middle the photo would lost the motion. great photo
