Photographer’s Note

My Tho is a peaceful town in the Mekong Delta.

It is famous for its noodle soup called "Hu Tieu My Tho", typically a clear pork broth with rice vermicelli and wheat flour noodles combined. Sliced pork, meaty pork bones, offal such as intestines, liver, and heart and fresh shrimp, and possibly deep fried wonton.

The soup is then garnished to the individual taste with garlic, beans sprouts, lime, fresh chili, soy sauce, and vinegar. The noodles can be served dry with the soup on the side, or as a noodle soup.

I had mine at Hu Tieu 44, the most famous noodle shop according to locals, but I didn't choose the one with intestine and heart....

Hi Andre,
An apt title for this shot. I like that the man is exactly in the strip of sunlight which goes in the same shape as his form. And the shot is nicely balanced in segments of gold, black, gold, black, gold.

Impressionnants reflets et jolie composition avec cette barque bien placée.
J'espère que la soupe n'a pas été faite avec l'eau du fleuve!

Bonjour Andre,

L ecart entre la photo et ta note m a bien amusé. D un autre coté, si la soupe est aussi bonne que ce que tu decris, alors ca va bien avec ce flot doré :-)
L image est tres lisible car la silhouette du bateau et du batelier ne rentrent pas en conflit avec l arriere plan.
