A CLASSY LADY ON A SIDEWALK LUNCH, a photo from Ho Chi Minh, South East

Photographer's Note

I spotted this well dressed young woman, wearing high heels, her face well made up, sitting on a tiny plastic stool and eating lunch or late breakfast using chop sticks right on the sidewalk beside Ben Than public market in Ho Chi Min City. It is a sight we are not used to in USA but a common sight in Vietnam. She glanced at me then she kept on eating.

Hi Andre,

I like how you have managed this shot. The environment is very busy yet the focus is still on your main subject.

I particularly like all the different colours in the photo.

I like this colorful daily life shot. This woman is definitely elegant, yet she sits on the tiny red stool, next to everyone else on that street. The flowers behind her are a lovely backdrop, too.
