| High standing members of the Coa Dai church are elected by the church. Their clothing is brillant colors. They pray the nearest to the Altar, and the person leading the ceremony. Way in the front of the church are empty gold chairs which once held the higest ranking officals, now long dead. They once had a pope also. (I am not sure, but I believe, he was also general in the Vietnamese army, and fled. His body is in another country, Cambodia?) The choice of state also is not correct. The church no longer has a city named Cao Dai, but it used to run it's own tiny "city". Now the Communist government use them for offices. The church is found in the Mekong Delta, next to another city. |

Hello Gloria,
Very colorful photo and very informative.
Though, I would have prefer to have a bettre focus in the composition. I would say that the stairs, very beautiful, are too massive compare to the other elements of the photo.
Nevertheless, it is really nice.
