[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Listening to the news earlier in the evening, I realized that Saigon fell 30 years ago under Viet Cong forces , mostly peacefully, despite previous predictions that it would be long and bloody.

The gates of the Independence Palace were destroyed by North Vietnamese Cyclos (you do remember that part, don't you?), and the Viet Cong flag was raised over the Palace at 12:15.

It just reminded me that I was there precisely 10 years ago. Time runs away.

Thank god for the note as otherwise I would've thought you'd gone on holiday to Vietnam (without previously announcing that).
Interesting to see this decade-old photo and enjoy the composition. Not sure if I can spot traffic light here, hence the jam on the street - still, everyone seems to be happy with that.
What camera have you used for this one, Gal?
Robi

Gal in Asia! Didn't know you made it over here, mate. Cool shot, I think, very daily life. I remember those cyclos from my trip as well, but never knew they were part of such a great feat in Vietnamese history. The every present monsoon sky is a great addition as well. Nothing really to nit pick here, Gal...hope to see more shots from this part of the world.

Hi Gal, I'm glad you uploaded a picture to commemorate that horrible long time war in Vietnam with SO many people killed. The best TV network in the Netherlands had documentaries all week, but I missed almost all, I hope i can find a few on the internet.`I do not remember the cyclos, I will have to look it up, I'm sorry.

About the photo, I like it, Gal, try to give us a little bit more of those pictures. It's such a nice daily life shot!

Gosto das cores, dão mesmo um ar de errr imagem antiga (estamos ficando antigos, nós também?)
Gal, o que você fazia lá, tão menino? (if you do not mind me asking, claro)

A nice daily life scene Gal, very Asian in it's apparent chaos. The darkening sky creates a nice mood too.

Time definately flys, I can't believe that it's been 7 years since my first trip abroad... since then I've spent more time away from Toronto then in it... strange.
