Life in the rice fields (III) Photo

Photographer’s Note

In the rice plantations of Muong Phang, there are small tender growths good aligned.
One smells there the hand of the man and his taste for the geometry.
There is also like ways of sentinel on which one walks naked foot not to wet oneself.
There are the mountains which surround the rice plantations and make the communications difficult. There are large wood houses, built like perches.
The Thais families live numerous there.

Rice is a richness which occupies all the life

Dans les rizières de Muong Phang, il y a des petites pousses tendres bien alignées.
On y sent la main de l'homme et son goût pour la géométrie.
Il y a aussi comme des chemins de sentinelle sur lesquels on marche pied nu pour ne pas se mouiller.
Il y a les montagnes qui entourent les rizières et rendent les communications difficiles.
Il y a des grandes maisons de bois, construites commes des perchoirs. Les familles Thais y vivent nombreux.

Le riz est une richesse qui occupe toute la vie.

C’est un petit monde ces rizières, une bulle de vie dans la campagne !

Bertrand bonjour quand je vois une telle photo, j'ai envie de prendre l'avion et de partir tout de suite au Vietnam (je ne connais que Singapour et l'Indonésie mais c'est vieux dans ma mémoire + de 20 ans) - C'est très beau et ton cadrage transmet une impression de calme et de douceur - Les tons aussi sont harmonieux

A common scene in South and South East Asia but is beautifully captured and appreciated. It is common because everybody here needs rice to live but few ever thought about its beauty. The composition, geometry, textures and colours are all very well handled as to project this lovely scene. Excellent shot!! Regards.

Definition parfaite, j´aime les ombres sur les montaignes... J´aime le sens de l´oriente qu´on peut rencontrer dans cette photo. Je voudrais retourner au Vietnam. Merci pour les couleurs aussi: On devrait avoir un "vert rizière". Amicalement

Une jolie vue bien ensoleillee et claire, je m'amuse a suivre les lignes et courbes dans ce beau paysage, j'aime aussi les nuances contarstees de vert entre les plans de riz et les arbres. J'apprends aussi qqch je ne savais pas qu'il y avait des Thais au Vietnam.

Bien composé également, le haut de l'image occupant le 1e tiers réglementaire ! ;-)
J'aurais bien voulu voir un villageois dans ces rizières pour donner un peu de vie.

Bonjour Bertrand,
sur la vignette, les verts semblaient artificiels et surfaits, mais en découvrant la photo en 'grand', on se rend compte de ce qu'ils représentent.
Une plantation de riz.
Et sur cette photo , ils sont pile poil.
Joli cadrage qui montre bien les dispositions en terasse.

Belle image et belle note qui l'accompagne. Les rizieres sont un de mes paysages favoris, j'en ai vu beaucoup en Asie et ici tu as bien montre les courbes et aussi les jolies maisons rouges. J'ai l'impression penche un peu, mais peut-etre ce sont les rizieres qui penchaient.

The variety of greens here is wonderful, contrasting with the little houses. The rows of planted rice lead you eye through the picture.

Wonderful view, Bertrand. The PoV is very wel chosen, leading us through this great land/mountainscape. The sharpness and exposure is very good - there's still colour in the sky. This kind of pictures make me surf to a online airline ticket shop. Very good!

Je trouve toujours assez reposant ces images de rizières et j'aime le vert un peu cru du riz qui contraste avec le vert plus foncé des montagnes environnantes. Je ne connais pas le Vietnam mais j'ai vu paysages semblables en Indonésie.

ce paysage me rappelle les longs trajets en bus au Vietnam, ce sont les memes images qui defilent quand je m'endormais...C'est une tres belle photo avec de belles lignes conductrices qui traversent ce champs de riz.

Beautiful image Bertrand with well saturated colors and excellent sharpness. It is the composition itself that makes this image sing however. The lines of plants, the diagonals created by the dikes, the layered hills, the contrasting contoured shapes of the roofs, the light on this distant hills all work together to create the most satisfying composition. My eye really wants to linger on this scene... all achieved with a wonderful little point and shoot camera. Very well done!

J'apprécie la profondeur de l'avant-plan qui donne beaucoup d'importance à ce champ de riz.
Pour les mordus du Crop je suggère une variante sans le ciel mais avec les maisons incluses, ce qui ne m'empêche pas de préciser que la composition originale est parfaite.
