A visit to the perfume pagoda is very special. It starts with a tranquil boat ride along Yen River which really is part of the meditation as well. The sound of the water as the rowing boat moves slowly along is very meditative and the environment is very special with its impressive rocks surrounding you – even if you are there on misty days as I was.
When you get out of the boat, you walk along an alley of restaurants before you start the pilgrimage of a 3 hours climb. The pagoda itself is situated on the flank of the hills.
This lady was sitting on one of the benches at the outdoors restaurant where the hungry pilgrims get fed.
There was a peculiar dreaminess in her attitude that I liked, combined with nonchalance and even maybe a trace of indifference.

But the bad days turn their back and walk away while this lady is thinking of better days to come.

Hi Sabine,

Very succesful composition, I like it.
Without the object on the right bottom corner and LPG tube (I don't know its name in English) and with a little bit more focus on the woman it would be a masterpiece.

However, overall, I like it very much.

Hello Sabine. I am currently considering a possible trip to Southeast Asia for next year, so the Vietnam section of your TE album is particularly enjoyable for me to see. This is a well-framed candid photo in which the sitting lady makes a good subject for your compo, and the surrounding details add a realistic context (I think the blue bucket at the bottom right could be cloned though, it draws more attention than it should). I think the sharpness doesn't need to be higher than you have it; the contemplative mood is shown quite well in the way you present it. Nice photo.

Désolé, j'ai rate bcp de tes photos.
Cellle-ci est superbe dans la composition de par l'attiude de femme au premier plan et la personne de dos. Elle fait un peu la moue, le business ne doit pas etre terrible.

Je trouve sympa ces touches de couleurs bleues et rouges dans le fond.

Je découvre ta gallerie. Très belles photos! Tu sembles être près des gens. J'ai choisi celle-ci, surtout pour l'expression de cette femme qui semble avoir tout le poids du monde sur ses épaules. Le titre est parfaitement adéquat. Très belle composition aussi. Le sceau et la bonbonne ne me dérangent pas. Ils sont là, ils existent. J'aime bien l'inclusion de l'autre personne vue de dos, qui marche. Comme si elle était indifférente. Merci.
