| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
When I first saw this lady I found it quit painful to be confronted with her powerful look. The desperate look in her eyes really cut through my bones.
She looked tired, worried, cold and alone.
I first didn't want to take a photo, because it was just too much for me as it was too much for her; until I saw the man behind her who pointed his finger (at random), it just strengthened the whole scene and took some pressure of the attention for the woman.
The lady had no food to sell - probably too expansive for her; she had a little stall selling tea and coffee. While I was sitting with her, having a tea, she just stayed in the same desperate mood.

If you missed the 2 previous posts I also add
A visit to the perfume pagoda is very special. It starts with a tranquil boat ride along Yen River which really is part of the meditation as well.
The sound of the water as the rowing boat moves slowly along is very meditative and the environment is very special with its impressive rocks surrounding you – even if you are there on misty days as I was.
When you get out of the boat, you walk along an alley of restaurants before you start the pilgrimage of a 3 hours climb. The pagoda itself is situated on the flank of the hills. |

Dag Sabine,
Claire
