Hello Sabine,

I have seen three similar posts, but as per me, this is the best among them. First this is full of action and the kind of dynamism I always like. The DOF is excellent making details of houses in the BG OOF and thus enhancing woman. Third the expression of this woman, she is looking at us. Excellent capture.

Great scene and very well captured. I think the pic works so well because the DOF is spot on. There is plenty of detail to be seen in the background, yet the rower stands out crisply. Good catch!

Good capture, Sabine, with excellent focus and DOF. Two small points where I think you could have improved this further: 1. It would have been good not to have cut off the end of the boat on the left (but I know this is sometimes hard to achieve when you too are bobbing around on the water trying to frame shots of moving targets!), and 2. It would have been better to crop the top slightly so that we didn't see the bottom of the billboard which makes it obviously that the composition is tilted. If we didn't see the bottom of the billboard, the tilt wouldn't have been so noticeable. Cheers . . . David

Pareil, 2 regards qui croisent (cette femme et celui du photographe) comme ces 2 rames. The OOF est vraiment bon.

Bonjour Sabine. tres belle photo. j'aime beaucoup la composicion. c'est tres bon la "DoF". aussi j'adore la grande "X" fait pres(?) the rowing oars, that X is the most powerful element to this image, in my opinion. bon fait.

I really like the look of determination on this woman's face, and the crossed oars do look intriguing. A great portrait of everyday life. Good DOF control too, so that we can focus on the subject.

Hi Sabine,

Very interesting to see how this woman is rowing - have never seen that before (maybe we should make a theme about the different ways women are rowing.

Good focus on the woman - still have an idea about what is going on in the background :)

Je n'ai pas trop le temps en ce moment a consacrer a TE. Je te laisse un petit mot sur cette tres belle image de mon pays. Je me demande comment elles font pour tenir sur ces barques, j'ai essaye, j'ai failli tout faire chavirer.

A good one, nice OOF background to put her in full spot on this boat, colors are very good too giving a lot of mood to this capture, very well standing frame.

Although therea re many of thee rowers its quite difficult to get a good shot of one. I like the background here, out of focus enough not to be intrusive and in focus enough to see what is goign on. Again nice light.
