The floating market in Can Tho is a centre of extreme business and activity. Large boats are scattered along the Mekong and the smaller boats balance themselves a way through, looking for some good deals.

The big boats carry fruit and vegetables and small rowing boats (or some even motorized) stop by to negotiate a good trade.

The trading is done through these tiny windows in the boat hull.
This Vietnamese man piled his boat full with pumpkins which he on his turn will sell to other people on the on land market.

Nice colours and composition. I think the image could be a little bit sharper, but no matter - it's interesting and so is the note.

Belle photo de la vie de tous les jours de ces paysans venus vendre leurs maigres ressources.
La photo aurait gagné en couleurs sans le fond monochrome et terne du bateau derrière. Mais cela aurait été une autre histoire.

Bonjour Sabine,
Un beau document sur la vie de ces paysans. Je suis un peu de l'avis de "Fayeulle", l'ensemble est assez terne mais peut-être s'agit-il d'une volonté pour accentuer le côté un peu sombre, semble-t'il, de leur vie. Merci pour le partage. Gérard

Hi Sabine,
The composition here is excellent and you captured the moment well, but I have a feeling that the colors a bit washed out because of the harsh light. Anyway, in overall I really like the result.

Hello Sabine,
ja'ai ete un peu decu du marche flottant de Can Tho, je ne sias pas toi ce que t'en pense, mais je l'ai trouve un peu...banal ?!
Je pense que le fait d'arriver vers 11h n'a pas arranger les choses ;oP. Sympa cette photo, j'aime bien car il n'y a aucune perspective, le decor est fait uniquemnt a partir de la coque du gros bateau et du petit marchand flottant.

Dag Sabine,

merkwaardige manier om zaken te doen, maar dit hebben wij bij deze dan toch weer geleerd. Sommige van die bootjes zien er wel zeer belabberd uit, af en toe gebeuren daar wel eens ongelukjes mee ?
