[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Phong Diem floating market on Mekong River.
Inspired by Luko's Paddleorama I was also trying to capture the essence of this place - people, hats, boats and paddles.

Well it works. Nice choice of B&W with a slight hint of sepia for this timeless shot.

lotsof happening in this picture, really well captured here and excellent framing, you have included alot of things here, I like the boats especially and the hats

Well done

I like this shot – full of everything – very much. I especially like the mix of various shapes – and the repetition of them around the image. B&W works well. Great work, Maciej.

Really interresting daily life scene. the toning works very good. The patterns (specially the hats and the sticks) works very good.

This is cool, Maciek. A very busy scene, but you managed to compose it into something ineresting and original. The toning works well to evoke a special mood. Anyway, nothing to nit pick here. Well done!

Good shot Maciek. What I like is how there is a V shape created by the lines of the boats, and of course the traditional Vietnamese hats are great too. Personally, I do find this a little bit cramped or tight, although that is likely just a personal thing. Toning looks good Maciek.

This is the only b/w photo of floating market that I saw, Maciek, and I have to say this I like it very much. The shapes of the cone hats, bows, coconuts get a very different attention in this version. An ordianry floating market sot usually focuses on colors, and you have focused on the shapes and on the light. This is very original and well done.

Lovely scene Maciek, as usual with you.. In that case I think the colr would have worked better. But I still like it.

Beautiful tone of B&W here, Maciek!
Another great daily life shot but i feel it's a bit too crowed in this shot. Anyway i love the tone in this one.

Excelent chaotic image. The sepia tone help to create this chaos by merging the elements in the photo.

Nevertheless the composition does not get confusing because all the people is in the top of the composition concentrating opur attention on them. Very good composition.

Lots of interest for the eye here and great composition! If I were to be really picky, the depth of field is perhaps a little shallow- the nearest boat and oars are in focus but the more distant people are slightly blurred. Maybe this is how you wanted it, to emphasize the pattern of the oars.
