HO CHI MINH CITY
 |

| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
I was about to sit down in one of those low plastic benches right on the sidewalk to taste what the street people eat when my wife told me they are rinsing all cups and plates from one pail and finishing it off in another pail. So off we went to Benh Tanhn Market. Here we discovered the poor people's Vietnamese sandwich called Bahn Mi. It is wrapped in clean wax papers and we eat it with Vietnamese coffee! This sandwich taste so good we went back here for lunch the next day.The hotel concierge told us this sandwich is eaten only by the common people and not served in leading restaurants of the city. Ahhhh but it is a good sandwich! You can have your choice of fillings, beef, pork, liver pate, chicken but always with hot chili peppers, jasmin, carrots, or you can have everything in one sandwich!
More pictures of the STREETS OF VIETNAM may be seen here.

Hello Andre,
You always have such good notes! Always.
And the image tells the story too, a very good slice of life in HCMC!
Good colours and fine details, skilfully composed!

Hello Andre.
It is a very beautiful picture. I felt that a color was bright and was splendid.
I ate with a shop such as a picture when I went to Hanoi for sightseeing last year.A meal there was very delicious and was stimulating.
Yours sincerely, Takahiro
