"Our aircraft is approaching Noi Bai Internaional Airport of Ha Noi, Viet Nam. Please upright your seat, fasten your seatbelt and remain seated until the aircraft is completely stopped..."

Under the fuselage is the green color of ricefields — the color of HOPE and LOVE. There still be some five hundred miles to my family in the central part of the country but this my fatherland already. All farmers down there are my father, my brother, my sisters. All people down there are my relatives. They are having an aged son to return with full excitement.

I am landing in a rainning noon. The sky is washed out, and is as blank as a sheet of paper. "We have already experienced a thousand years to slave for the Chinese, a hundred years under French domination, thirty years of day-to-day civil war". May our sad past be washed out and be forgiven and forgotten as the sky out of my window...

Viet Nam, I am coming to your arms.

Five Hundred Miles

If you missed the train I'm on
You will know that I have gone
You will hear that whistle blow 500 miles

Five hundred miles, five hundred miles
Five hundred miles, five hundred miles
You will hear that whistle blow 500 miles

Got no shirt on my back
Not a penny to my name
Lord I can't go back home this away

This away, this away
This away, this away
Lord I can't go back home this away

Lord I walk in these ties
With tears in my eyes
I'm trying to read a letter from my home

From my home, from my home
From my home, from my home
Lord I'm trying to read a letter from my home

If this train's running right
I'll be home tomorrow night
Lord I'm five hundred miles away from home

Away from home, away from home
Away from home, away from home
Lord I'm five hundred miles away from home

Away from home, away from home
Cold and tired and all alone
Yes, I'm five hundred miles away from home

(Hedy West)

I like the make-use of bad weather to create a point, and of a poor sky & horizon to emphasize your attitude. This is how Adam tried to share with us his purpose, ”TrekEarth is learning more about the world through photography”.
Also my thanks for the song of the ‘60s.

Regards,

Yuan

The song you referred to made me cry. It's my favorite since school days.

"Away from home, away from home
Cold and tired and all alone
Yes, I'm five hundred miles away from home"

Thanks.
