[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
In front of HoChi Minh's Mausoleum in Hanoi. These two women were manually tending the grasses. They were unmindful of my presence. I took a lot of shots of them.

Basically, what's done by machine in the west is still done by hands in the east. I guess that's the reason why the grasses look so healthy. They need a human touch, so to speak.

Manuel, I think your note perfectly matches this photograph. Very sensitive one, and I truly think you're right. This is really an original photo IMO, because for a western like me, you would expect to see two vietnamese in a rice field rather than tending the grasses.. Very nice.

hi Manuel, i like this picture, it is nicely composed and original, just good.
i also have some similar pictures from that place, maybe one i'll post one of them too.

Great shot. Wonderful colors and excellent composition.
I really love your choice of framing the subjects.

Wonderful color and people with a nice post processing. I like the green color of the field, simply beautiful.

Great compo, but I'd crop the foreground & dodge the darker right hand side.

A bit different from you Manny, still a fine setting with the persons in full job well off centered in the green setted pix.

Hi Manny. I think your composition here is very nice, but unfortunately there are some technical problems with this shot, at least for me.

Like I said, I think your composition here is very good, both in terms of where you have positioned the women and I really thing the diagonal lines of the sidewalks add a good element to this photo. I am not at all bothered by how much foreground there is here, either.

The first thing I see here which lets me down is the sharpness. I have to be honest, on my screen there is not one portion of this photo which is acceptably sharp. I might be wrong, but my guess here is not that it is a software issue (i.e. not properly sharpened). You don't list that you used a tripod here and my guess is that this is handheld. You also don't list an aperture here either and the EXIF data has been wiped out. I am guessing you used a fairly small aperture to get maximum depth of field, which is great, but the increased shutter opening has further madated using a tripod. Landscape photos should ALWAYS be shot off a tripod, and regardless of the human presence here, this is a landscape photo.

Hi manny - For some time ago I made a theme about twin photos with contrast (world apart) - I will try to spot a lawn mower on TE - amazing to watch this - ok the picture not as your usual standard (Have read Darren's note) but I like it still for the composition and the message - If we did the same here - there would be work for all ;-)

Excellent composition. I like the green space used here. Great colours and contrast too. And for an european, an unusual scenery. Really a great composition, excellent post and thanks for sharing Manuel!

A very good and authentic shot, Manuel. I like the green grass and the squares of the pavement. Contrast is a bit too high, so you lost some detailing, so I think that in this case, it will work better with b/w. Anyway, good shot.

This one is very appealing to me in composition and colors, Manny. The two working women are very well placed in the frame, and besides human presence bring interesting shapes (their hats!) and alternate color to the scene. I also like the geometry from the squares of grass and the gray walkways. Yes, there are the technicalities that Darren did a unique job describing, but I'm happy to see a variation from your outstanding portrait work every once in a while, and I can only repeat that you are doing a good job on shots that have more of a landscape subject to them. Keep trying those and continue to show them to us.

Very good picture Manny !
The green field, the workers... it´s a very good composition !
Congratulations

this is a precious photo of agriculture, your showing well a traditional way of life, something that has endured centuries. The flooded green background "hay maganda"

I like your composition and the choice of your subjects. Both hats add to the impact and get married to the green so magnificent. It is excellent.

J'aime votre composition et le choix de vos sujets. Les deux chapeaux ajoutent à l'impact et se marient avec le vert si magnifique. C'est excellent.

Nice image Manuel, even though on the screen I am looking it, it 's a bit strange, but I trust you and not the screen,

everything is going well so far, even though I am not too happy photowise, i love Tamil Nadu so much better.

Very nice composition with well saturated colors. Also like the details of the hats hiding the faces. Becoming anonimous they represent everybody that do this kind of work which is nice in this case.

Also like the vigneting effect as it helps centering the attention in the people.

very nice & placid & calm, with lively colors.I missed it,sorry.but glad to see it now,
excellent composition as all your shots:)
Thanks for sharing,I like it,Dear Manuel!
