Hello Caleb,

I would call it"Thought process"..!! Beautiful shot of this young girl engrossed in deep thought

Actually I would have kept her in the right side and wud have left space in the left..but what u have done here is incredible from compo point of view...very nice colours and the intensity of this shot if totally dedicated to the expressions of this young lady..

Tfs,

Regards,

Indro

Hi Caleb. I like the positioning of your subject in the frame, as well as the baskets for supporting props. Since you have the nice soft dof, this helps out explaining the market setting. It's great that she's so candid with her expression. I wouldn't mind seeing the focal point be a little stronger on her face. It does appear that the strongest focus might be on her left shoulder area. So that's just a minor technical flaw (but just in my opinion), but for subject and presentation, it's top marks.

We are twinning tonight caleb, the similar expressions, the same hand position.
IWhile i like how the coloured bokeh enhances her clothes, i would have preferred her at the right hand side of the frame. I know its not always possible to get exactly what you want.

Hi caleb
The cropping is unusual with the girl looking outside. The bokeh is very nice. The portrait is expressive.
Excellent

Wonderful, the expression on the young lady tells everything. Your pov and composition are superb too.

hi caleb

i really like this composition for a few reasons. i like the detail in the girl's costume. its colour and patterns are striking. i also like her positioning, the empty basket next to her enhances that feeling of 'waiting' or even frustration/boredom, looking at her expression. lastly, i like the dof which really makes the girl stand out. great job!

One could say: yeah, that doesn't lok too hard, because of the basic simplicity of the construct but younknow what, C, I know better. The way, for example that youbincluded just enough of these two baskets at the bottom of the frqame - genius, that, it makes all the difference and provides the necessary context (mercantile) to offset the beautiful but terribly vague bokeh behind her. Of course the bokeh is her "ennui", her Hmong-like ennui of everyday...
Superb, actually,
-F

She's not looking very happy, but she's nice with those tipical clothes full of colors. This composition is well done and the bokeh is great.
Well done,
Regards,
Jean-Claude

Hi Caleb,

You know how to drive your lens to get a superb result; what a great bokeh!

Thanks to your choice of aperture, the girl detach herself from the background and stands out very strongly. You’ve caught all the beautiful details of her traditional clothing, as well as her concentrated expression.

Your composition is out of the ordinary and I like to see your subject where she is placed in your image. Great colours, sharp focus where needed, strong and daring layout.

Well done!

André

Lovely pose, nothing such as waiting, she's completely alert, though she looks half bored/half bothered, like when filling an income tax sheet. Some feeling enhanced with the way she turns her back to the inside of the frame. Like she doesn't want to see, she negates it. it could have been called "negative thoughts".

A negative title that matches the negative space where we can admire the fantastic bokeh quality : your scan is really excellent.

There's fine grittiness in this work Cale. Then again this is print.Pretty evident from the finery on the clothing she has on. Wonder whats with the glum expression?. Liked too the negative space on her left; worked well in "pushing" her to the left.

Amitiés

Hi Caleb,
excellent framing with lovely background!
She looks a bit worried or angry for something but it's surely an expressive sight!
A smile
Luca

Caleb,
brilliant photo and great sharpness...I just love her expression, she looked properly peed off! :-)
TFS,
Igor

Wonderful series from Sapa and Bac Ha.

What a great Portrait. I don't know if I like better the expression of the model or the colours of her costume.
Excellent shot, anyway!
