Felicitations pour ta 100eme et une note flashback qui trouve un certain echo en moi, en regardant mes nombreuses anciennes photos, je les trouve souvent a chier pour la compo et hesite a les scanner car la qualite sera en deca de mes posts actuels. Pourtant au debut j'en postais pas mal car je n'avais que cela, j'aurais du rencontrer TE en 1985...
Ici meme si ca semble manquer un peu de lumiere tu as realise un tres bon portrait de cette charmante demoiselle et de son petit sourire enigmatique, avec un bon bokeh qui estompe mais laisse deviner un environnemnt exotique.

Bonjour Vincent -

A very nice note and some wonderful insight on the learning process. This is a very nice portrait that is well crafted and executed. IMO, even though the background is OOF I find the large red and white gate to be a bit distracting - I think I might have gone for something a little more homogeneous and softer as a background. I say this because the structure always seems to pull me away from the girls beautiful face. A touch of fill flash would have highlighted her eyes making her face radiate just a bit. These two comments are just improvement notes on an already outstanding image.

This is a really good portrait Vincent.
I like how you controlled the depth of field, allowing just enough detail to creep through to give the image a real sense of place.
Technicalities aside though, it's the expression that you captured on her face that makes this shot a success.

In Buddhism, life is a journey, an Infinite journey into the Infinity ...
In this sense, taking fotos is taking slices of Time and Space !
So, critiques comments and suggestions are very important for making better photos, but making life of a photo is much more important...
I think, you are already making life in your fotos and it is also a journey of Life ...

Que beau sourrire! J'imagine qui ce voyage a était une redecouverte, probablement tu as regardé des endroits familliers avec un autre regard. Je suis aussi passioné de l'Asie du Sudeste, le destin semble en train de nous doner une nouvelle oportunité d'y retourner et comme toi je pourra revisiter les endroits ou ma passion pour la photo a se reveiller... Arretant mes reveries, ta photo est d'une simplicité qui attire le regard, la beauté dans les choses simples de la vie comme un sourire. Le focus est parfait comme déja mentioné. Un petit detail, pourrai ameliorer encore plus la photo... avoir ton sujet un peut plus a gouche pour laisser visible tout le batiment a l'arriére plan et peut etre un cadre un tout petit peut plus decentré et cerré sur ton sujet. Des details, je m'excuse pour etre si 'picky'. Felicitations pour tes 100 premiéres photos, elles ont reveillé mon envie de connaitre le Nepal et le Buthan et comme j'y réve... Merci!

mes félicitations par ton número 100. Quand on commence le chemin ici dans TE, il semble que nous n'allons pas arriver à cette quantité de post, mais nous y arrivons et le dépassons, aussi.
Tu le célèbres avec une photo très attractive, où l'expression et le sourire frais et sympathique de la fille remplit l'image, détachée sur un fond estompé réellement bien travaillé.
Une grande qualité d'image et de bonne illumination dans la compo, qui de plus nous offre quelques belles couleurs.

Joli modèle pour ta 100ème! Le bokeh à l'arrière avec la vue sur Khue Van pavilion donne plus d'impact à la jeune femme qui est bien positionnée dans ta compo.
J'apprécie ta galerie qui nous fait voyager virtuellement dans les contrées lointaines que tu visites et je sens que tes prochaines photos vont me plaire. le Vietnam est un pays que j'aimerai bien visiter et j'espère en avoir l'occasion un de ces quatre... En plus je suis sure qu on y mange très bien :)

Congratulations on 100 posts, Vincent. Yes, Vietnam is a very photogenic country and one of my favourites too. The light on your model's face is excellent and the sharpness is just right, but personally I would have preferred to see her positioned just a little to the left so that we could have seen all of the gate to the Temple of Literature in the background. The pic is nicely framed and very well composed with the girl in the fg. and the blurred pavilion in the bg.. Well managed light conditions, good sharpness and very good dof, too.
