Something different for today. I revisited my Vietnam shots and this is what I got...

Vietnam is a charming country. Hanoi is a beautiful city. A country of many artistic people, Vietnam abounds with works of art on display in practically any place in Hanoi. This one is an example. Is it a street? A Laundry area? Or a gallery? Your guess is as good as mine.

When I took this picture, I debated whether I should wait for her to look at me. She did. I have a picture for both. But I opted to post this one because I want to keep her privacy. Besides, the other one is a bit blurred.:)

Amazing shot, Manuel. Street gallery are not so rare, you kind find them especially in night bazaars, but I have never sen them in the laundry area. THe contrast between the fine art and the laundry mess is very interesting. Good shot, very well seen.

Manny, I like this very much.I don't know why yet, but this is one of the Vietnam photos that I've seen on TE that reminds me the most of my visit to that country. Something to do with the atmosphere and the saturated colors you present here. IMO, this is a not a "people's" photograph, and you have chosen well to put in the "place's genre". That's why it doesn't seem relevant at all that the woman isn't showing her face. Thank you for sharing.

Very good shot with a good eye. I would just walk by such a scene :) Great contrast between the left and right part of the photo, both in terms of mood and colourfulness. Also, you managed the exposure well as it's difficult to balance the lighting without over- and underexposing the two parts.

I've looked at some of your photos from Vietnam (I'm originally from Saigon) and they look marvellous.

Very nice colorful picture of the picture. Interesting photo. Well done

Yes, I wouldn't guessed this was one of yours without the label. Interesting view of Hanio, the back view of this person at work looks right here.

Really well done for this great shot,Manny!
I like it very much .it's full of life,colors,...
very well composed all elements here, brightness in front & darkness in back are strong point here.very well managed.
From your nice shots & some dear friends I believe that Vietnam is a great & beautiful country. Thanks for sharing.

something different indeed...i think you were right to post this one for it shows her at work, not posing for the shot... she is very centered but it is ok since it allows you to show both the artist work in the lights (entertainment business...) and the background in a darker and simpler mood ( normal life). nicely done manny.. go on with those differnent shots, you have all my encouragements...

Hello Manuel,
Great photo you have made here. Good composition, with a nice depth in it, very good colours, yes I like it. good job

Very interesting and good shot Manny - glad you posted the one with her back to us. Terrific colour and a very interesting scene.

Very interesting scene, Manny - I guess not often do you get to do your laundry in a gallery setting. I like how the shot gets more colorful and "arty" from left to right, and the added presence of the woman is very good. Very good capture.

Funny how you're trying to evolve from more posed shots to streetlife moving images.

Nice effort but there are things i'm not very comfortable with :
- the "start" of your pic is the weakest side of it, we have almost one thrid of the pic which is deserted from any features to anchor to,
- the ending is great, I like the foreground paintings, but unfortunately tou decided to use a wide aperture and they are therefore blurred.

next time perhaps scan more of the surroundings and decide what you want sharp or blurred, you must use the whole of your frame to compose your shot not only a part of it. (did you buy the HCB book, he's a master at filling the frame? ;)...if not, you can always browse a lot of his work here and next pages.)

Your shot is interesting as it shows a good daily life picture Manuel, this woman state in full working. Great picture an perfect note too.

Your shot is interesting as it shows a good daily life picture, I like the evolution of the brightness, with the person in the middle.

Ha, pretty amusing shot with vibrant vivid colours, Manny! :-)) I am glad you revisited your shots from Vietnam and shared with us this one - it is such a charming daily life capture with a lot of fun in it. Here it is still raining outside, so I want to thank you for the lovely bright mood you offered me. Excellent job! ;-)

What a surprising picture from you and what a good shot. Different, as it shows you are a versatile photographer with the ability to catch people expressions in portraits, but also their living surroudings. I like the contrast between the fine art and the back scene. I can just walk in this street. Very well seen and excellent composed again. The fact that she doesn't look at the camera is good, we don't focus on her, but rather take a look at the whole scenery unitl the stairs in background. Very, very good catch Manuel !

You shows a good daily life photo, and your are good at it.

It is so diffrent from what we see in Denmark, and I glad to be her to se your picture. Excellent.

Very fine contrast you captured here - the colourful end of the street great to watch and makes the dark end look even darker. Lately I have begun getting some people on my photos - but haven't posted any yet - may be for the same reason as you mention - thanks Manuel, for sharing this view from an interesting corner of the world.

I like this street scene very much, but as i told henry, I think i'll stop to post pictures on TE, too time consuming.
thanks for your comments Manuel

I like this picture, the street is on life, you have the colour on the wall with this woman who work colourfull. We have to Qébec city a street like this,it's RUE DU TRÉSORS.
