I have tried to photograph this type of fishnet locally called RỚ but never came close to this success. Further, your effort to selected a higher point of view to enable viewers to see the result of the catch is another discovery. Did you climbed into his little thatch tower?

Hi Vincent. I was in Hoi An a few years back and true, it is a beautiful place. As for the river, it had a contradictory effect on me. Firstly, I loved its natural beauty, especially at dawn and at dusk. But, what grieved me was the refuse in its waters, particularly along the banks of the old town. If one points the camera above all of this, then one captures true beauty. Your photo is elegant and as poetic as your title.Great moment.Regards. Klaudio.

Cet homme est peut être plus funanbule que pêcheur. Ici l'image a une belle esthétique, tout en douceur pour la partie superireure et beaucoup plus saturé pour la pirogue. Un bel effet de contraste. Les ondes nous laissent à penser le travail d'équilibre de ce monsieur.

Une photo très intéressante sur cette technique de pêche. Il faut avoir un sacré équilibre et une belle dextérité pour ramassé le poisson. Une prise de vue nette et sans bavure, j'aime beaucoup le cadrage et les qualités de l'image notamment la belle netteté. Beau travail et merci pour la note.

j'adore ta prise de vue ci-dessus pour sa composition excellente, ses trois plans de couleurs, l'un doux avec cette superbe voile aux plis gracieux, l'un chargé de reflets dans l'eau, et pour terminer cette barque aux couleurs vives qui accrochent.
la position du personnage est également interéssante "cachée" dans le premier plis de la voile .

This is a lovely one. I recall very well the same sort of sight in Hoi An when we were there. I actually lost a day's pictures due to a computer problem, and I think among them was a shot of one of these huge nets.....of course I was upset..haha. You have done a great job of capturing the whole dynamics of this net. We never saw this stage where the fisherman stands and does his "ballet" as you say. Wonderful shot, take care,

This is a wonderful trilogy presentation of the fisherman. His balance is incredible; I'm surprised the boat doesn't tip up. This represents what TE is all about. I've seen these nets drying by day and now I know how they are used. Excellent work.

The triangle formed by the net resting on his conical hat frames the fisherman beautifully, and I like how you filled the top of the frame with these huge nets.
The colourful boat provides a great contrast to the muted colours in the rest of the scene. It might not have been possible, but I'd have liked to have seen more of a gap between net and boat. Maybe you could have done this by crouching down a bit.
Nontheless, a very good piece of work Vincent.

Une méthode de pêche très originale avec tous ces filets suspendus. Les couleurs du bateau ressortent bien et le cadrage est bien fait. Mon image préferée est la 2 'different posture' ou l'on peut bien voir toute l'habileté du pêcheur qui est entièrement recouvert par le filet.

Not only is this a very well presented composition, Vincent, the information that you have provided on this method of fishing is fascinating (I've not seen this before). It must have been hard to choose which frame to post as the original. There are so many diffierent ways you could have composed and cropped a photograph like this. The vivid colour of the boat provides a nice contrast to the more subdued colours in the rest of the frame. Cheers . . . David

plusieurs fois déjà que j'ouvre ta galerie ...
et vraiment je trouve que tu massacres tes images en post traitement
vraiment dommage car, certaines ont un « potentiel »... comme celle-ci je pense ..
ce qui est vraiment regrettable, c'est qu'avec le nombre (!) de commentaires que tu reçois, personne (je n'ai pas tout lu :))) ), ne te dis avec franchise que tes posts traitements sont trop "hasardeux"
à la fois sursaturés, trop contraste et en même temps pas assez … une sorte de hdr (certainement l'emploi d'un outil équivalent de "tons foncés/tons clairs" de photoshop )... ce qui récurent dans tes images c'est cette volonté de relever les tons moyens de tes photos ... (ou peut-être un problème d’écran (??))
perso, je t’encouragerais bien à modifier ou revoir tes flux de post process … un simple avis sincère …
pour t’aider plein de solutions :) :
plein de tutoriaux sur le web, bien fais, méthodes "pros", et audacieuses au service de l’efficacité et de la précision :) ... tout un programme :) ... et gratos ...
un bon lien par exemple, proposé par Luko :

sinon Adobe fait toujours de bons tutaux :

ou encore le tout en un, un bon bouquin de chez Eyrolles comme photoshop pour les photographes, par exemple ... web et bouquins sont complémentaires à mes yeux …

sinon, ta photo/compo est bien cool je trouve et mérite mieux ...
je te propose une autre version en WS, maip malheureusement un peu dur d’avoir un contrôle précis sur une photo "aussi" dégradée
