Photographer’s Note
District 2 Saigon. One thing i admire about Vietnam is the people, always proud. Even when they are sitting on small chairs in dusty streets they are "impeccable".

Hi, Inn.
Interesting scene, there is something of surrealist here : maybe beceause of colors and elements of composition, but also beceause of a kind of plastic aspect of her face.
Best regards. Grazyna.

Dear Inn,
I've exactly feeled the same thing during our honey moon in Vietnam.
People are always very cleaned and proud of what they are doing!
Vietnam is a wonderfull country !!
Thanks for sharing,

I like it Inn. Very well composed. Not very sure about her expression though. Not much there. Also, the bottle in the foreground is too overexposed and distracting. The overall greenish-yellow cast is really nice (very "Franciscan")

Hi Inn,
Another great portrait shot and I like the "Furuchan effect" you have applied. As I mentioned before, these colours may be less realistic, but in terms of creating the right kind of atmosphere and mood, they are absolutely magnificent.
The composition is great, I like the fact that the green/blue shutter in the background finishes exactly in the middle of the frame creating a left and a right split. Also, I think the overexposed white bottle works well as it is in direct contrast to the dark background and is a nice focal point in this half of the photo. There are so many things that make this such a good photo and one I could look at for a long time: The wonderful contrast between the red plastic furniture and the green/blue shutter; The shoes in the doorway, the dish of yams? nicely arranged; the rusty set of measuring scales... So many things and such a fabuluous image of this lady's life. Congratulations, Inn - a superb portrait, one of your best I think.

Rich

strange feeling here... evertthing is static, almost unreal... the plastic, the harsh light making a strange effect on the woman's face and the colors also. Very interesting indeed : ))

Very nice indeed, Inn. Sorry, I missed it somehow... Yes, You Furachan'd it for sure and it gives a luminosity a "wattage" to the scene. Of course witht he bottleovexposed and the sun quite strong one has to be careful about the degree of yellow and green, but I like it.
Best,
Francis

Gain nice framing with it being off centre Inn. I like the little pair of shoes waiting on the step. Enjoyed this series.

Hi Inn,
I have been to the stage play of Miss Saigon before and I can visualized that this is the old version of Miss Saigon herself. A real photograph that reveals her proudness that she posessed when she was young. Good shot and thank you for sharing.
