[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
In between two fever crisis, I managed to get out of my room to visit a little bit, I was looking for an old house 100m from my hotel and while entering a small alley, I see this chap, water sir ?, why not. I liked his face and this Uncle Ho's portrait hanging above the door and asked him wheither I could to take a picture of him or not, he thought I wanted to capture his disability by turning 90 degrees, I asked him to face me...

Hi Yan, this is first-class photography, very strong, powerful, that speaks volumes... the crispness of this man's face, his lean body against the odds of his lot, as he intently faces you under General Ho is superb. Your angle, downplaying his disability, has worked wonders...
Bravo!

Hi Yan, this is yet another terrific photograph from you. This subtle but obvious wideish distortion is actually helping to accentuate the persons profile. What with all the worn down door, the window , the wall, and that photograph framed above his head, its really a nice observation. And I like your idea of ignoring his disability, I faced a similar situation recently. :)

Good stuff. The note complements it well. I mean, the face is what is mostly captured in the image.

J'aime beaucoup, a+

It is very, very good. The light - and the dark - in just the right places. Good and interesting portrait, with character and context. I don't get the feeling of a camera ready pose as much as a willingness to hold still and let you capture the moment. And it's the little things that complete the shot for me. The cigarette boxes gleaming in the darkness and the HCM picture above the door. It's a complete photo in every way.

Tres reussi celle-ci, Yan, une grande photo. L'histoire est touchante, comment il voulait se tourner pour te faciliter la tache...
Bravo,
Francis

Strong portrait Yan... Light in his face is very good and so is his expression towards you. Your pov makes the story gain an whole different meaning. Very strong.

Ahh yes this is the stuff Yan, as Sarolta said this is really A-Grade quality. Brilliant tones, love the gritty appearance and your subject. A favourite.

Salut Yan,
Ca ma plait bien ca! Je m'imagine assez bien une scene autour de cette photo. Le N&B est superbe, plein de texture et la note est emouvante.
T'as mis un coup de flash?
C'est cool!
Nicolas

Great work, Yan!
I like strong BW and good national color in this one.

hello mister .... Yan, ;D

a wonderfull portrait, posed but still so spontaneous, that is not an easy task ! I like the b&w choice, i did not take b&w in vietnam, but it is a good idea. I see you enjoy hoi an too, Francis, THanh and i posted some hoi an pictures a time ago, and it is pleasant to see how everyone has a different look on this pleasant (yet touristic) little town. enjoy ;))
greetings, inn

Elle arrache cette photo ... Ce petit corps 'malade' parait bien frêle par rapport à ce lieu ... belle texture et détails.

Hi Yan,
Nice POV and I like it in B&W. Giving it more depth. Indeed better not to take the picture in profile and just suggest it in your title
Well seen and taking consideration with the persons proudness
Tfs
Griet
