[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This was taken at the mosque in HCMC. I arrived at the mosque and wandered around the outside taking some snaps of the exterior, then began talking with a man who was waiting for the afternoon prayers. As we talked others came and joined us too. Eventualy we were sat in a large circle whilst I flaunted my (very limited) knowlege of arabic for their amusement. I became bold enough to ask if I could photograph their prayer session, all the men agreed on the condition that the immam was happy to do this, and he was! I set the camera up on my tripod in preparation and rejoined the guys waiting. Once my gear was set up I placed it at my side, and after a minute noticed this man staring quizzically into the lens. without checking the viewfinder I fired off a shot using the remote release, and this was the outcome! I'm really happy with how this picture has turned out, as the pictures of the prayers themselves didn't come out well at all.

Nice one. It's always very satisfying when an unplanned opportunity for a photo arises and you get it. The look in his eyes is that of wonder and curiousity. Nice crisp look to the pic.
Well spotted Morgan. Too bad about the rest of the photos.

Very cool story ! And very funny result. This man has a look ! You are a lucky man :) Indeed, the compo is nice, the DOF suits very well and that face is just great !

very beautiful picture...unplanned makes it more valuable..the curioustiy in his eyes is very good ..and the depth is great..thanks..

Very good composition with excellent DOF and definition at this man's face

Very well composed. I like the midst of surprise and curiosity in his expression. The photograph is well exposed and it has a good management of depth of field.

Very nice shot, Morgan. I love his expression . . . he's so focussed on the camera. Having the guy so far to the lower right is a bit unusual, but for some reason it works here. The DOF is just right . . clear enough to see the background, but still letting the guy stand out.

What an expression you´ve got here, Morgan. Full of interpretations. What is curious for me is how well works the medium shot of the old man but include in a wide shot of the mosque. People and place very well related. Congratulations once more from Madrid.
