| The banks of the river Ganges is predominantly lined with natural rock. in some places however attempts have been made to pour large quantities of sand and make it more accessible to people. In Rishikesh, a place about 28 km from Haridwar the Ganges lures thousands of tourists for rafting. The rapids are not particularly rough and people certainly do not use the kind of boats pictured here for rafting the waters. These are merely pleasure boats - not fishing boats as fishing is not allowed in the waters in Haridwar or Rishikesh. And I doubt if this boat has been in an accident. Perhaps it was too old, or in need of repairs. |

Hello Sayanhya,
Interesting and in a way very dynamic (although no movement on it) photo. I would suggest tunning up contrast and saturation: would underline beautiful colors of the boat...
