Dickinson Bay beach, Antigua

This beach is actually one of the busier one's on Antigua, but I managed to find a time in the early morning when no one was swimming/sailing.

I used a polariser to cut down on reflections and darken the sky, and Velvia film for increased saturation. I also found that the water only looked this colour when the sun was behind or slightly to the side of me. In the afternoon this viewpoint faces into the sun, and when it does the sea is a dull colour by comparison.

Wish I was there now!

All feedback welcome.

p.s hi! sorry if you're hoping for a bigger pic. I always upload to the web at a maximum 550 pixels on the long side, and always with my contact details (a web url) on them. I know others post bigger here on TE, but I hope you can respect this small control I put on my shots on the web, and I hope you still enjoy the pic, and I look forward to ANY feedback you can give about the picture.

Thanks, I look forward to reading your critique.

Hello Gordon,
Good composition, very nice shot. Beautiful image with good framing, POV,DOF, colors(sky & sea) and sharpness you have caught. Congratulations...

Hello Gordon

the picture is nice and for sure the two smileys worth, but I won't give it today, because I do not like the "personal website advertising" in the picture (you could make a frame and add it there for instance) and the small size.

Speak to you soon
Sakis

P.S. Ok, one point for the nice photo at all.

This is so beautiful! Almost unreal! Wish I was there now also. try to make your photo the maximum size, it will be better for your photos.

Nice use of lighting. The low flying puffy clouds and pristine waters add to the allure of this place.

Hi Gordon,
Great picture and good use of the polariser. These kind of pictures are usually too bright, but this looks good. Thanks for adding to the theme!
Marie

Hi Gordon,
That is one of the coolest shots that I have seen yet. Fuji Velvia shure can soak up color, great job putting it all together with the timing, framing and the polarizer.
Cheers! JB
