What a wonderful way to relax! My intention here was to capture the very laid back feel in the islands of Antigua which is situated 25 miles away to the East of Montserrat (pictured here) The grinding of the Caribbean and North American plates are still causing volcanic eruptions on Montserrat. The eruption that began in 1995 and climaxed in 1997 killed 19 people and drove away most of the 11,000-strong population.
Levels were tweaked a little saturation added and a border in Photoshop were added. |

A very pleasing photo! I tried many attempts for such a shot when staying at Jolly Harbour but the weather was rarely clear enough to create a strong enough silhouette of Montserrat.
Perhaps a little too much sea in the foreground, but other than that i like the layout and colours of this shot.
