There are over 100 species of bats in Costa Rica. They usually sleep during the day like this one - found under a giant leaf in La Tirimbina Rainforest Reserve.
If you want to get the most wildlife sightings in the rainforest, probably the best times to go are in early morning or in the evening when birds, bats, snakes and other creatures come out!

A most unusual picture of one of the least understood creatures of the world. It is a great subject-- too bad no definition in his face.Otherwise I like this shot
