Hello Julie,

An astoundingly peaceful photograph, the colours are so subtle and enjoyable. You have presented us with delightful patterns and reflections in the water. The balance between light and dark on the hills is very effective, and what’s more, the photo quality is sensational. You possess great talent for someone who is new to this site, have you been a member of other galleries previously? The frame you have added is also good. I am impressed!

Matt

beautiful photo

Hello Julie,
Beautiful shot! What really makes it for me is the delicate green/yellow colours in the hills (was this early morning?) and the contrast with the blues of the sky and water. Personally I've never been very happy with the results whenever I've tried photographing strips of land from a boat as this tends to result in a banded composition without foreground interest. Here however it seems to work well - I think the reflection of the clouds in the water helps, you were lucky to have such still water.
There seems to me to be a slight tilt to the right, although that may be due to the fact that the right hand side of the bank is closer.
Very nice work!
John

Hi Julie,
a beautiful, quiet one. Excellent sharpness and colours.
