This is like the story of the giant turnip but in that story everyone was pulling rather than pushing!
A fine humorous shot which tells a story without words.

I know what the problem is; the driver is at the wrong side!

a curious and well hummored scene. nice image with good light framing and sense of opportunity.in some aspects I guess american embargo was a big mistake, in my oppinion reformations would be faster without it.

C'est une scène que l'on peut voir très fréquemment à Cuba. Rien de surprenant, elles tiennent toutes avec de la broche et les moteurs Lada commencent à manger l'huile.

Besides the funny situation on picture, I look on the Bg and see a fabulous old colonial building, Luciano.
Good light after the rain, enhances the details on the surrounding, open museum for old cars.

Toi aussi tu as pris des vacances dans le Sud, ça fait du bien, ça change d'air. Les vieilles voitures c'est pas çà qui manquent à Cuba, quand elle sont plus bonnes chez-nous on les envoie là-bas. Pas de dur hiver, elle peuvent faire encore longtemps. Très intéressante présentation et beau contraste de couleurs avec la verdure.

This is sure excellent street candid rarely seen with good sense of humour! I like the juxtaposition between the stalled car and the happy looking people pushing in tow! the day to day situation very well taken. I also love to see the urban decay here too, the charm of Cuba - in good details and an interesting piece of work that tells a story. Not much fun for the poor owner of the car but an amusing photo to watch. A great snap-shot of a kind that I like. I like the wet asphalt and the clarity of the air after the rain. The dark sky has also given the colours pleasantly mild tones.

a superbly framed and lit scene which says so much about daily life in Cuba. I've never been there but some friends of mine have and this picture matches their stories. The buildings, wide streets and old fashioned cars and the way people meet adversities with a smile. I love the clarity, lighting, colours spontaneity and mood of this picture. This photo is both entertaining and sad at the same time. Because of the embargo, the country has been frozen in the state of 50 years ago, and how they make the cars still function is remarkable. I've heard that they even have to make parts for the cars out of scrap metal in machine shops. It is a very good photo technically, and as an example of photojournalism.
