I been many times in Cuba, and it was a great pleasure to see how the Theatre of Havana has been restored perfectly. In 1993, date of my first trip, was falling apart. Now it is back to its former glory and is an example of unique architecture.
The construction of this building, financed by donations of Galician emigrants, began in 1908 and it opened in 1915 with an opera season offered by important artists of the period. In 1985, at the initiative of the prima ballerina Alicia Alonso, the building was renamed the Great Theatre of Havana.
Following extensive renovations, the theatre has reopened on January 1st, 2016 and renamed to honour the Cuban prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso.

I like your chosen crop for this photo. The repetitive details of this facade are beautiful, and I especially like the small balconies. It's great that this national treasure has been restored.

It is nice to learn that this magnificent building has been restored. I must confess, this is the first photo of a non-dilapidated building from Cuba. I like the crisp repeating patterns.

precious angle and light enhancing the repetition of shapes in this amazing neoclassical façade.very beautiful job. TFS.

A hundred years old building after restoration, and its facade grandeur is very imposing, Luciano.
Found a good oblique POV upon the pillars and round beautiful small balconies, light was very favorable upon, and immaculate sharpness - all of those elements culminate wonderfully.

Indeed, it would have been a great pity if this beautiful building had been allowed to go to rack and ruin. I like the oblique point of view and the framing, which show the lovely façade to superb effect. The light was ideal to bring out the colours and decorative detail for our delight.

Ciao caro Luciano,
I didn't suspect that this was Cuba!
It is a fine piece of architecture and your close crop reveals these details very well.
The repeating arches , balconies and windows reveal the artistry and excellent repair.
The light enriches the stone surfaces.
My warm regards,

Complimenti e grazie!
Tanti saluti e buona notte,

Quite a classy piece of a building judiciously-captured for softer tones to show the minute details that will please to the architecture experts as well as to older theater amateurs who frequented the old premises, if they are not deceased. An intense air of royalty is spread through. Ciao

A wonder this closed plane, on a part of the facade of this theater, that makes us enjoy its beautiful and elegant ornaments .... columns, balconies and railings.
Very effective colorful, highlighting details of the image.
Good management, both brightness and sharpness.
Very well done. I like it.
Enjoy the weekend.

This looks like a very monumental building.
Nice that during your various visits of Cuba you have witnessed the advancing of the protection of the architectural and cultural heritage.
A very attractive architecture shot whereby the repetition of the columns and the balconies provides a wonderful effect.

I wonder why the eye likes repetition, and indeed you captured a beautiful detail of pre-revolutionary architecture in the Theatre of Havana.
Yesterday you critiqued the photo "Unfortunate King Sebastian" that I had just posted. If you are as curious about the statue's destruction click on the following newspaper account to find the answer: Daily Mail 25 November 2016. It will make you as angry as it has made me.
Warm regards, Luciano,
