Wow Elias, you are posting again too much! This is an excellent street shot that shows us the impressive old and monumental architecture of Cuba. That tower in the background at top right is really pretty (and it reminds me a bit the Manuelino style...)and you made a good framing of the China gate. It's too greay, though. They should painted in red :) Very interesting and diferent POV from Habana.
Boas noites,
ricardo

Hola Elias,
I didn't know about the Chinese population in Cuba, even less about a Barrio Chino.
Very interesting post, different from the usual pictures from La Habana.

Hi Elias!
Very good shot! I didn't know there's a China town in Habana. Very good details of architecture. I like the old cars and the people passing, a very good daily scene in a very nice composition!

Hi Elias,
The numbers you gave about the distribution of population in Cuba are realy interesting and for me a little bit complicated and difficult to follow, since I don't fancy mathematical issues. I could never loved Maths :) Anyway, the city look is great with that tall tower on the right. The gate like stucture tells us that it is China...but no...it is Cuba :)
Thanks for sharing.
Best Wishes
Zeynep
well, there are practically no Chinese in Habana, or should I say, they all have assimilated and dissipated in the mulato mix. The photo is strictly documentary, but not interesting by itself.

A strange photo (for me, who have never been in Cuba) and really interesting : in many parts of the world now, one can see those kinds of gates - part of the globalisation process, I guess...
(IMO, the building behind has much more value, and I don't write this from a religious point of view as I am not very religious, rather as a lover of old buildings !)
Good idea from you to post this interesting photo here, and your note is also useful !
Regards from Brussels,
Cath.

Hola Elias:
Bonito contraste de la Habana, la parte china con la parte cubana.
Un saludo:
Pablo
