The town of Altos de Chavón
Altos de Chavón is located southeast of the Dominican Republic, La Romana, and only 110 miles from the historic city of Santo Domingo. Located at the top of a rocky plateau and lush, the small village is within the boundaries of the resort Casa de Campo. Built in 1976, Altos de Chavón is the headquarters of The Foundation Cultural Center Altos de Chavón, an entity cultural and educational nonprofit.
