Photographer’s Note

A beautiful day to try a ride in a catamaran
at Cabarete Beach near Sousa Beach in the northern part of Dominican Republic, about 45 minutes drive from Puerto Plata. We drove from Santo Domingo to Sosua for a mini-meeting with Emilius Bouchard (emilbo) from Canada who was spending several days in my country.
Cabarete is a kiteboarding paradise and ranked among the 10 best sites in the world for windsurfing, it is that put Cabarete on the sporting map since the late 80s.

bonita escena náutica en esta toma, con el catamarán que le da un gran dinamismo. Me gustan los vivos colores de la vela en contraste con la espuma tan blanca de las olas y los azules del cielo y del mar.
La composición es sencilla y tiene mucha fuerza gráfica.

Splendid bleu sea, and lovely strong blue sky, this get we never this type of colour.
You show the catamaran and sail very well against the white wave in foreground.

A true postcard with a holiday atmosphere well conveyed...
a well timed capture on these men pushing the catamaran and the big wave coming towards them.
The sail is really an eye catcher and contrast nicely with the blue of the sea/sky.

Los colores son muy atrayentes y el encuadramiento no pudiera ser mejor. Se siente la fuerza del mar en las olas llenas de espuma. Una foto sencilla, pero muy lograda.

Me agrada lo vivo de los colores, y la escena tan refrescante. Aunque el horizonte no quedó centrado, has sabido utilizar acertadamente la regla de los tercios en el encuadre.

Le ciel était merveilleux cette journée là ou nous étions ensemble, j'en garde de bons souvenirs. Le catamaran est bien mis en valeur par le bel éclairage devant cette mer bleu foncé. Moi j'ai une photo un peu différente, je l'ai pris de l'autre côté de la vague. Beau travail et belle harmonie de couleurs.

Another magnificent shot of life on a suburb of Paradise. The colorful sale of the little catamaran is located in the best possible spot in the frame, and against the backdrop of the Caribbean it stands so dramatic.
