Caña-eater!!! Photo

Photographer’s Note

One of the favourites things to eat in El Salvador, well, or in Talnique where I was at least, is "caña". This boy is a good example of it.

Everybody there: young, old, poor, rich people were eating it. Unfortunatelly for me, I didn't like it. Too sweet in my opinion.

In this picture, a 3-years old was very "busy" with it.

Realmente me trae muchas memorias esta foto. La cana es popular en todo el pais y si es cierto demasiado dulce! Bonita foto y ne gustan los colores oscuros :-)

¿Que tengas un objetivo de apertura fija 2.8 significa que te puedes mover entre 2.8 y una apertura más pequeña?
Como que creo que la respuesta es sí, ahí va mi comentario niño tonto: si usas siempre apertura 2.8 tendrás a parte de los retratados, como es el caso, fuera de foto.

Un error tan infantil como estúpido y propio de ti.

I used to do this as a kid in the 60's. Queensland is a major sugar cane producing state in Australia. A superb daily life scene of the engrossed child with excellent use of a shallow dof. Tfs!

Hola Oscar, this is just about the best portrait I've seen in a long time. It is an unsual composition and I like that almost all the boy's face is in shadow. The detail is amazing. Congratulations on such a technically superb and striking photo, Lisa.

un primer pla agoserat i molt efectiu. Ben captat el moment de la queixalada del nen a la canya de sucre.
M'agrada la poca llum que encara il.lumina el nas del nano, i l'aspecte vital de la foto.
