Photographer’s Note

Amicalement, Brigitte

Hello Howe,
A very sad and poignant work. It makes me think of the way children are treated in different cultures. How they grow up, what they are exposed to and how they learn to embrace so many facets of life. This shot is very important and very well done. The pov you have chosen is both delicate and makes us reflect. The slit on the man's trousers speaks volumes of their poverty. There is, however, a heartfelt closeness in the midst of it.
Take care,
sasa

bonsoir patrick,
haven't been much online lately but am still missing your 'testimonies' and haven't forgot that "testimony is an obligation, over all political consideration" as i learned from you here
quite a strong capture this one and i must admit i am far from being as brave as the baby who you say is used to this kind of scenes - in my world complex scenes as this one are not that usual - we are spoiled enough to mostly have this kind of stuff handled in hospitals
i'm aware this is a 25 yo capture, but that doesn't change the facts, does it? i hope showing these photos more often will somehow make these situations happen less and less ... good POV for this composition and perfect tribute to the nurses, doctors and all sanitary workers for all the hard work and responsabilities they take!
merci,
dora
