[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This picture was taken during a travel through Guatemala and Yucatan in 2002.

We were staying at Lago Atitlan, and we decided to go to Solola market instead of Chichicastenango which seemed to be less visited at that time. We found a rush of people buying and selling food and textiles, but on the main square it was time to relax and see the people passing by.

The film used was Ilford XP2, and this is around 90% from the orignal frame. A little bit of sharpen was applied to try to compensate mini lab scanning.

Welcome on TE Pancho,
your photograph is remarkable of expression, one would like to know well what holds the attention of the characters, who are well isolated by the good control of the depth of field.
The black and white treatment is superb, contrast is splendid. Like specified it Oterrada, a small explanatory note would make us still better understand the scene.
Regards, Dino.

Awesome shot. a stand out on the page I was glancing through. its a simply great capture of expression, culture and a moment in time. I think this would have been just as great in colour, but the B&W is very effective.
