Photographer’s Note
Spear fishing in a dug-out is still done in Haiti. This shot was taken with a Widelux panoramic camera from the dock looking straight down.

Looks like an interesting image. The subjects are not so usual and also the point of view is unusual and effective.
Technically the shot is very good!
Thanks for sharing it.

Hi Helmut,
Wow fantastic shot. I love the POV and the fish and seafood they have caught. Wonderful relections from the sunrays in the water.
Cheers,
Ulf

Good shot, I love the basicness of the boat and the traditional fashion they are going about catching their food. Im sure it is a real joy to swim in this water and the sense of reward when you spear a fish for tea must be great. TFS

Great shot, great POV, great contrast between the two in the canoe (head down vs eye contact) and of course the catch as the central focus.
Trivia; outside of France, which two countries have the highest number of people speaking French as a first language?

Hallo Helmut!
I like this one very much. It's very interesting for a landlubber like me. The original perspective and the sparkling water work very well and the colours too. Not a everyday picture!
Greetings from autumnal Germany!

Hi Helmut,
Very good POV for that shot. Excellent sharpness as well which allows us to admire what they're going to eat.
Nice job!
Quentin.

Attractive POV and good framing for this local curiosity.
Well done Helmut!
